Continuing the celebration of
Mendelssohn's bicentenary, we'll be performing his unfinished oratorio on the
life of Christ - a kind of combination of Handel's Messiah and Bach's St.
Matthew Passion. Sadly, the entire
work is rarely performed (and there isn't a current recording in print of the
piece!).
